Refined spot glycerine prices in the European market have remained under pressure, moving down €20/tonne ($27/tonne), due to weak demand. UK spot prices fell by £40/tonne ($63/tonne). Tallow-grade spot material was in a price range of €380-420/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe) and vegetable product at €420-450/tonne FD NEW. UK spot prices are at £340-385/tonne FD UK for tallow and £385-415/tonne FD UK for vegetable grade. “Prices have been falling steadily since [April],” one French trader said.
