Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals restarted its 30,000 ton/year MIBK plant in Iwakuni, Yamaguchi prefecture, on 13 January as scheduled. The plant was shut last month for mechanical repairs. “We plan to run the plant at 100%,” he said, adding that the unit was also slated for annual maintenance from 9 October to 13 December this year.
