Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPCC) has secured the same discounts for spot naphtha to be delivered in the first half of July as it had obtained for the second half of June, trading sources said on Monday. FPCC secured discounts of $6-7/tonne (€4.3-5/tonne) to Japan quotes CFR (cost-and-freight) Mailiao for 150,000 tonnes of open spec naphtha to be delivered in the first half of July. The volumes were procured from three different traders. The latest purchase volumes and discounts were the same as its purchase for the second half of June.
