LG Chem to restart IPA line around mid-March

LG Chem, South Korea’s largest IPA producer, plans to restart its 55,000 tonne/year acetone-based line in Yeocheon around mid-March after a scheduled maintenance shutdown. The line was taken offline on 1 February. Some traders had earlier said that poor demand from the downstream paints and coatings sector could have prompted the shutdown of the unit.
